Dennis W. Harms - FOUNDING PARTNER
Mr. Harms has 30 years of experience in agricultural management positions. After working for 15
years in a variety of positions with two US companies (Cargill and Central Soya), Harms founded
Premium Standard Farms, a vertically integrated pork production company. Mr. Harms led the
company as CEO for ten years, until its sale to Continental Grain Company in 1998. During this
time, the company grew from startup to $450MM in revenue with more than 2,600 employees.
PSF is recognized as one of the premiere pork production companies worldwide, and the
company continues today as a division of Smithfield Foods. In 2000, Mr. Harms invested in a leading, Kansas City based, data management company and continues to
participate as a non-executive board member of this company. In 2002, Mr. Harms accepted the
position of President of PIC USA and PIC Canada. For the next 5 years the company focused on
a re-commitment to quality initiatives and market growth. During this 5-year period operating
profits increased by 100%. Following the acquisition of PIC by Genus PLC, Mr. Harms stayed
through the successful integration of the two businesses. Mr. Harms founded Spectrum
Agribusiness, LLC, along with Gerry Daignault, on October 1, 2007.

American business units. In this engagement Daignault took front-line responsibility for all factors

responsibility with Purina Mills, Tate & Lyle, N.A., and Newsham Hybrid Genetics. His most
recent position was CFO/Director of Finance for PIC North America from May 2004 to October
2007. During that time, PIC strategically repositioned itself to meet the needs of the consolidating
industry. Operating profit grew by more than 100% during that time. Genus PLC purchased
Sygen PLC (parent company of PIC NA, Inc.) in December 2005. Daignault stayed on during the
successful integration of the two businesses. On October 1, 2007, he founded Spectrum
Agribusiness, LLC, with Dennis Harms.
